Job Description
Role: Electronics Technician
Location: Clearwater, FL
Duration: 12 Months contract
Pay Rate: $30/hr - $32/hr. W2
Shift hour: Mon-Thurs, 5: 00 AM -3: 30 PM (4/10 schedule)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Sets up test apparatus and conducts tests of electronic circuit card assemblies, RF circuits and subassembly units following methods, procedures, standards, and sequences;lays out and assembles units for production electronic equipment according to designs and specifications.
  • Adjusts and calibrates electronic assembly systems as required.
  • Corrects malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components as directed.
  • Uses hand and small power tools, and various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties.
  • Determines types of tests to be performed, approves and suggests modifications to testing equipment, and analyzes test results to evaluate performance of products and equipment.
  • Assists engineers in design and development of test procedures for new products and recommends product improvements or manufacturing modifications.
  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
  • Troubleshoots to the component level.
  • Utilizes schematic diagrams to isolate failures on Analog and Digital circuitry.
  • Requires a strong knowledge of Solid State devices and micro-circuitry.
  • Works in a dynamic production environment and is able to produce at a high level in support of customer schedules. Proficient in the use of various measurement devices including Digital Multi-meters, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, frequency Standards and signal generators.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1 year of direct experience with testing electronic assemblies
  • Proficient in component level troubleshooting of solid state, digital circuits.
  • Able to use Microsoft Suite and other data collection programs to accurately document maintenance actions.
  • Flying probe or Inc-Circuit Tester experience

DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Familiarity with Radar Systems and ability to troubleshoot RF circuits
  • Vibration and Thermal ESS experience of both circuit card assemblies and sub assemblies

TYPICAL MINIMUMS:
  • High School diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks and 1 Year of experience

DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Radio Frequency (RF) troubleshooting
  • Digital circuitry troubleshooting
  • Flying Probe operation experience
  • Candidates with military "backshop"experience where they repair and troubleshoot circuit cards and subassemblies or Line Replaceable Units (LRU) are a great fit.
  • Candidates mut read/write English
