Job description

Job Overview:

  • This position involves supporting the order processing function within a distribution warehouse environment.

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Must have a high school degree or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of experience within a distribution warehouse environment.
  • Experience working with an electronic warehouse management system (EWM) such as SAP, Exacta, and RF scanners.
  • 3-5 years of experience operating a variety of Powered Industrial Trucks (Swing reach truck, stand-up, cherry picker, Rider pallet jack, and Sit-down).
  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must be flexible and willing to be cross-trained to perform multiple assignments.
  • Must be willing to work overtime with little to no notice.
  • Must be reliable and have a good work attendance history.
  • Basic computer skills, with the capability to learn in more detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be willing to work a portion of the workday in a chilled environment (36-46F).
  • Standing, lifting (up to 40 lbs.), and bending are required.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the order processing function (i.e., picking, packing, shipping, etc.).
  • Receive and put away manufactured products or raw materials, including unloading trucks, verifying quantities received, and entering receipt into a warehouse management system.
  • Pick and pack customer orders utilizing the warehouse computerized management system.
  • Perform other customary warehouse functions (e.g., cycle counting, processing material for destruction, etc.).
  • Follow all applicable laws and regulations (e.g., OSHA, FDA, DEA, etc.).
  • Maintain general cleanliness of the work area daily.
  • Be punctual and available for each scheduled shift.
