Vaco Atlanta is excited to partner with an impressive client in Atlanta, GA in their search for a Category Manager: Electronics. This is a DIRECT HIRE (permanent) position.Atlanta, GA candidates are preferred but REMOTE candidates will be considered. Remote candidates must live in the United States and be comfortable working an ETZ schedule.. RESPONSIBILITIES: Create and execute category strategies that align with company growth objectives Strategically drive revenue, inventory performance and gross margin Serve as the primary contact for category vendors and negotiate pricing & rebates Work closely with Demand Planning to optimize stock levels Organize and lead category strategy development to optimize value Collaborate with Pricing team to create competitive pricing strategies Drive category growth initiatives by working closely with the Sales team QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree REQUIRED; MBA or CPM certification preferred 5+ years of Category management or procurement experience Preferred experience with industrial distribution Must have experience in electronics marketplace Must have a mastery of margin analysis and rebate modeling Must have Advanced Excel skills and be proficient in ERP/MRP systems Must have proven success with global manufacturers Must be comfortable with up to 25% travel Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
