Group/Division

The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Selected candidate must be able to work 6 days/week, 10 hours/day

. (Installation)
* Install new tools at customer sites with guidance and supervision as needed following all procedures and consistently complete installations within the required cycle times.
* Focus on mature tool installations and KLASE upgrade on 1-3 models.
2. (Tech Problem Solving)
* Evaluate, analyze, diagnose and troubleshoot technical equipment problems related to installation under guidance and supervision.
* Troubleshoot and repair basic system level problems, based on technical knowledge, education and training. Seek immediate help from Sr. Engineers and management when problems occur that may exceed knowledge, education and training.
3. (Reporting)
* Prepare field service reports and daily passdowns on installation progress and non-conformances under guidance and supervision. Contribute to post-activity Quality Feedback Report.
* Take ownership of administrative install tasks. (Passdown, install progress, non-conformances)
4. (Documentation/ Travel) Obtain all necessary international travel documents and manage their personal lives to be ready to travel for extended periods. Minimum 60% of travels domestically and internationally by commercial transportation to customer sites.
5. (Training)
* Take LKS training on related tools.
* Proactively seek out training opportunities with senior PIEs, tech supports and CSEs. Work with senior engineers to get the necessary support.

Minimum Qualifications

Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or equivalent college degrees without experience; or equivalent work experience.

ASET (Associate of Science in Electronics Technology),
BS in Mechanical engineering, Electronics, or related area, BSEE (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering), or BSEET (Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology), HNC (Higher National Certificate) and HND (Higher National Diploma) in electrical/electronic engineering
