Job description

Job Title:

Journeyman Electromechanical Technician

Location:

Fremont, CA (Relocation required before start)

General Overview:

  • We are staffing for our metal fabrication client, the largest one stop shop in Silicon Valley. Join a dynamic team as an experienced Electromechanical Technician.
  • Primary responsibilities include advanced troubleshooting, creating work instructions, and training materials.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to ensure system reliability and performance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair complex electromechanical systems using tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics accurately.
  • Install and configure advanced electromechanical equipment per technical specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs, documenting all actions and findings.
  • Create and update work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Train junior technicians and team members on systems, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Test systems for functionality and compliance with industry standards; perform adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain detailed device history records per ISO 13485 requirements.
  • Collaborate with customer-side engineers to resolve issues and provide design-for-manufacturability feedback.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Education, Training & Experience:

  • Associate degree in Electromechanical Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; or equivalent hands-on experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electromechanical troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in working with PLCs, robotics, control systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Skilled in creating technical documentation, including training materials and SOPs.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and diagnostic tools is a plus.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, especially under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for training and collaboration.

Working Conditions:

  • Work Hours: Mondayโ€“Friday, 5:30 AM โ€“ 1:30 PM (8-hour shift)
  • Work Environment: On-site in Fremont, CA
