Job Description Summary
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:
Engineering Technology focuses on the practical application of engineering technique in the real world. This field leads to exciting and professionally-fulfilling careers that stay on the cutting edge of new advancements.
POSITION SUMMARY, ROUTINE TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Attend off campus recruiting events
• Public speaking giving hands on presentations and demonstrations to industry & group tours
• Maintain appearance/cleanliness of classroom and labs
• Maintain and organize stock of lab equipment
• Create/design projects for demonstrations
• Adhere to all safety standards and work practices established in industry and labs
• Assist faculty in labs with equipment and classroom projects
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Currently Enrolled in one of the following programs: Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Game Programming, CAD or Electromechanical Engineering Technology
• Public Speaking and hands on demonstrations
• Attend Recruiting Events off campus
• This position is generally tied to a set of laboratories and classrooms and is often associated with one or more courses or programs in Engineering Technology. Generally, only students with experience in those areas will be considered for the position.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Registered full-time SSU student
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and follow instructions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms
  • Follow SSU dress code policy
