Position Summary

The Electrical Lead Install Technician is responsible for performing electrical installations on a variety of electrical systems and equipment. Depending on experience, the Electrical Lead Install Technician will perform repairs and/or replace systems, (ie, meter main panels, sub panels, outlet and switch repair and replacement, circuit repair, attic and crawl work, and advanced troubleshooting, etc.).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Performing installations to all or part of the residential or light commercial electrical system.
  • To be able to perform repairs or to replace a part. Or ultimately replacing the whole system
    without supervision in homes or light commercial locations in Sonoma & Marin Counties.
  • Providing excellent customer service to introduce or continue the customer experience while dealing with our company and core values.
  • Strong understanding of how electrical systems or equipment should optimally work.
  • Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform the required repair or installation.
  • Identify HVAC issues (ductwork concerns, equipment condition) and refer to the office to schedule a HVAC technician to evaluate as a referral.
  • Identify Plumbing issues and refer to the office to schedule a Plumbing technician to evaluate as a referral.
  • Educate customers on their new systems and the operations of their equipment.
  • Complying with safety regulations and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
  • Ability to lead and train electrical apprentices.
  • Performing other work-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • High school diploma/GED
  • At least 2 years’ experience as an Electrical Installer
  • Maintain ET card/CE credits for Journeyman License
  • Able to follow directions, read electrical schematics, and site plan/blueprint drawings
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to use an iPad effectively
  • Clean driving record
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
