Job Summary
The successful candidate will be exposed to the many facets of Substation, operation, and maintenance of the Electrical Substation System. Successful candidate will be working in a shop/warehouse environment in a stationary position for many hours at a time. Candidates will gain experience in panel construction, wiring, and print reading. Successful completion of a 12-month training program will also be a requirement.
  • Follow engineered drawings to construct/ assemble electric substation panels.
  • Inspect material. Help put away material.
  • Electrical Mechanic to assemble electrical system equipment.
  • Assemble electronic wiring and equipment.
  • Construct and fabricate parts. Proficient with hand tools.
  • Ability to read electrical wire diagrams and engineering plans.
  • Problem solving skills
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team utilize teamwork in a factory environment.
  • Operating Forklift truck.
  • Perform all duties, as assigned

The starting pay rate will be $30.77per hour.
The company is actively seeking United States military veterans and service members who meet the qualifications outlined below.
  • Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined (above/below).

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to carry up to 60 pounds
• Ability to work planned overtime when needed
• Ability to use hand tools, and power tools

Preferred Qualifications include:
• Prefer certification in CPR, First Aid or AED
• Previous experience in working with mechanical or electrical concepts and applications
• Prefer OSHA 10 or 30 certification
• Prefer Successful completion of 56-month Substation Electrician program
• Background in construction or related work environments
• Background in Electrical wiring and print reading
Education Requirements
GED or HS diploma required
Technical/Associates educations are advantageous
Demonstrated related experience may be substituted for formal degrees or certificates
