Job Summary:
Cumulus Media is hiring a Systems Engineer who will be responsible for the design and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure. The role involves providing support to end users, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring system availability through proactive monitoring.
Responsibilities:
• Provide analysis and recommendations to streamline operations while striving to improve reliability
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with key technologies
• Configure and test various equipment for production rollout
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls
• Assist others with technical anomalies and resolve issues
• Handle emergency situations in calm and scientific manner
• Occasional travel on both scheduled and emergency basis
• Rotating “on-call” status requiring availability both via cell phone and physical access to the network within two-hours
• Document IT systems
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Five years’ experience in network administration
• Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills required
• Continuing education to maintain knowledge on the latest systems and technology
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
