Job description

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI), a leading power engineering consultant firm, is seeking a motivated individual to join our Phoenix, AZ office as a drafter/designer.

The successful candidate will perform intermediate to senior level drafter/designer work to provide computer aided drafting and design support for electrical substation engineering projects. Work Includes but is not limited to:

  • Plans views, sections, details, steel structures and foundations, electrical schematics, wiring and connection details.
  • Working from engineering markups, sketches, and/or verbal direction.
  • Create and modify working design documents using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation CADD programs.

Minimum Requirements: College degree in an acceptable curriculum or two-year technical certificate in computer-aided drafting/design, and a minimum of five years concentrated Electrical Substation on the job experience using AutoCAD or MicroStation CADD programs and Microsoft Office Suite. ProjectWise, Maximo File Storage, 3D Design and Raster Editing experience a plus. The successful applicant may be subject to client mandated drug and background checking. Occasional travel/driving may be required. Successful applicant is subject to ECI's auto insurance carrier requirements. Applicants must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B visa status) now or in the future.
