Your Job
D EPCOM Power, a Koch company, is seeking a Substation Assistant Project Manager to join the team. This role will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of substation projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in substation design, construction, and project management with a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety regulations, and contractor coordination. This role can be based remotely within the U.S. and requires 25% travel based on project need.

Our Team
DEPCOM's Project Delivery Organization executes full turnkey PV and BESS plants with collection substations and generation transmission lines utilizing preferred partnerships with key vendors and subcontractors while coordinating with interconnection utilities across the nation. As a Koch Company, we implement Principle Based Management to continue driving innovation, hold our team to the highest standard and streamline our overall processes to ensure project success for each of our clients.
What You Will Do
  • Oversee all phases of electrical substation projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget completion.
  • Manage and oversee project design, schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and quality control checks throughout project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and solutions to senior management and clients.
  • Manage procurement of materials and equipment for substation construction.
  • Oversee contractor performance and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Resolve technical and logistical challenges that arise during project execution.
  • Document and report project progress, including financial tracking and closeout procedures.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Experience with electrical substation projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems, substation components, and construction practices.
  • Experience with industry standards such as NESC, NEC, IEEE, and ANSI.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Valid US driver's license
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship now or in the future.

For this role, we anticipate paying $120k - $145k per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
