Job description

Job Descriipion:

Boyd's Electrical Service is seeking a leader for the maintenance shop at our Phillips, NE location (just east of Grand Island, NE). The ideal candidate would be somebody with experience with repairs and doing regular maintenance on earth moving equipment such as excavators, trenchers, and skid loaders, as well as pickups, semi tractors, trailers, and similar equipment. The ideal candidate would also have experience operating some or all of this equipment, as well as possess or have the ability to obtain a Class A CDL. Knowledge of how to utilize the internet to research information for repairs or parts availability, as well as other basic computer programs would be a plus. Basic welding and metal fabricating skills will be necessary. Knowledge of the electrical trade would be helpful, but not required.
This is a Full Time position and will be eligible for company benefits, such as health insurance, retirement IRA account with company match, paid holidays, paid vacation/sick leave, company tools, and paid continuing education expenses if applicable.
Boyd's Electrical Service, Inc. will supply all of the tools and equipment you need to successfully complete your work.
Requirements and Responsibilities:
-Maintain a safe work environment, for yourself and those working with you
-Hold a valid Drivers License, ideally a Class A CDL or the ability to obtain one
-Ongoing willingness to listen and learn
-Have ownership and a sense of pride in your work
-Operate typical shop tools such as impact wrenches, battery chargers, jacks, other air and cordless tools
-Operate metal fabrication equipment such as a welder (MIG), band saw, metal worker, drill press, etc.
-Operate a forklift, skid loader, or telehandler to offload incoming equipment or materials
-Lift up to and in excess of 75 pounds
-Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and scaffolds
-Work indoors, and outdoors in varying weather conditions
-Ability to work extended hours as needed
-Travel to jobsites in the Nebraska area as needed
-Effectively and professionally communicate with other company employees, customers, and management
