Job description

Electrical Project Manager

For over thirty years, our Electrical Division has performed services on heavy/civil, transportation, utility, industrial, commercial, telecommunications and building construction projects. We currently employ a solid core of professional, multidiscipline engineers, construction managers and electricians.

Project Managers are responsible for the commercial and technical success of a project. Understanding and experience in power, communication, signal, and safety systems is required for this role. Oversight of project aspects like commercial, schedule, engineering, quality, and client relations is the responsibility of the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Correspondence and negotiations with client
  • Subcontract and purchase order preparation and approval
  • M/W/DBE selection, auditing and compliance
  • Scheduling oversight including review and contribution to CPM, narrative editing
  • Vendor payment approval
  • Site staff personnel management
  • Control estimate preparation
  • Job cost monitoring and reporting at regular intervals
  • Cost projection reviews
  • Change order and claim preparation
  • Subcontractor coordination
  • Monitoring of compliance with quality and safety standards
  • Monitoring of project for compliance with applicable laws
  • Estimating

Location:

  • Jobsite travel and project field office based in Eastern Massachusetts
  • Monday through Friday, occasional weekend and/or night presence when project need arises
  • Full time in person
  • May manage more than one project at a time depending on the size and scope

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years overall experience managing electrical projects
  • Engineering degree, construction management degree, or electrician experience is expected
  • Experience with software such as Heavyjob, HeavyBid, Procore, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, BIM, and Fieldwire is preferred

Compensation: $130,000 - $200,000
