Job description

Electrical Project Manager
(Commercial amp; Industrial Electrical Construction)
Location: Sidney, Ohio
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $80,000 – $125,000
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead commercial and industrial electrical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role is responsible for project planning, budgeting, scheduling, coordination, and execution while ensuring safety, quality, and profitability. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage electrical construction projects from bid through completion
  • Oversee all aspects of project execution, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
  • Prepare bids, estimates, and proposals; negotiate contracts and contract terms
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and forecasts
  • Secure profitable work and ensure the financial performance of assigned projects
  • Prepare and submit partial and final billings
  • Review and approve change orders, purchase orders, and project documentation
  • Coordinate with engineers, programmers, general contractors, and technical staff to ensure accurate project execution
  • Provide technical expertise related to electrical design, layout, and cable placement
  • Review electrical installations to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes
  • Maintain consistent communication with internal teams, customers, and other project stakeholders
  • Act as a liaison between field operations and management
Safety amp; Compliance
  • Enforce company and customer safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain safe job sites and promote a strong safety culture
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and regulatory codes
Documentation amp; Controls
  • Prepare contracts, change orders, and project closeout documentation
  • Requisition required materials and equipment
  • Track and manage all project-related expenses
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency with electrical standards and best practices
Required Qualifications amp; Experience
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in commercial and industrial electrical construction
  • Demonstrated experience in a project management role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and installation standards
  • Proficiency with project management, estimating software, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy
  • Valid driver’s license
