Your Opportunity
Stantec's Lynnwood office is looking for a skilled Electrical Project Manager - Federal who will be able to apply electrical engineering principals and superior client service skills to cultivate and deliver projects that exceed expectations. This Electrical Project Manager will be working on Projects in the Federal sector. These projects include Military base utilities, buildings, air fields, shipyards and more.
Your Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of federal electrical engineering projects from pursuit through construction and project closeout.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, developing trusted relationships and ensuring project objectives are understood and achieved.
  • Evaluate project opportunities and challenges and apply strong consulting, project management, and technical skills to support successful client outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, designers, and specialty consultants to deliver coordinated, high-quality solutions that meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Coordinate project resources, priorities, and staffing to support the successful delivery of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Manage project financial performance, including forecasting, contract administration, change management, invoicing, and profitability.
  • Mentor and support engineers and technical staff, fostering professional growth, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
  • Establish clear expectations and hold project team members accountable for project deliverables, scope, schedule, quality, and financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional services and new business.
  • Provide strategic consultation to clients by leveraging technical expertise and a thorough understanding of Stantec's capabilities and services.
  • Support business development activities through client engagement, opportunity identification, proposal development, and interview participation.
  • Prepare and deliver effective client meetings, presentations, and project communications.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, applicable codes and standards, and federal market developments.
  • Champion Stantec's commitment to safety, quality, and exceptional client service throughout all phases of project delivery

Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Successful history of collaboration and teaming with electrical contractors on Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build projects is preferred. Experience in the construction industry and/or in-depth knowledge of construction processes.
  • Understands and implements project management principles.
  • Ability to manage clients, projects, fees, and teams to achieve budget, schedule, and deliverable objectives.
  • Ability to integrate design elements with other disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of power distribution systems, lighting systems, and technology systems for the built environment.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare or commercial/workplace market sectors including architects, engineers, contractors, and facility managers operating within these markets.
  • Ability to apply sustainable design principles within projects.
  • Strong client communication and interpersonal skills
  • Functional knowledge of recent versions of AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Periodic travel may be required to meet engagement/client requirements
  • May include regional, national, or international based on the contracted requirements.
  • Valid Driver's license and clean MVR

Education and Experience
  • Bachelors' degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years related professional experience; or equivalent combination of experience & education.
  • PE registration is preferred.
  • Federal experience is preferred.

About the Team
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
