This is a position for someone who:
• Owns outcomes, not just tasks
• Understands systems holistically, not in silos
• Can operate independently while leading others

You will play a direct role in ensuring critical systems are designed correctly, installed properly, and perform under real-world conditions.

What You’ll Do

Project Leadership & Execution

• Manage multiple assignments while maintaining schedule, budget, and quality expectations
• Interpret contract documents to identify risks and opportunities

Technical Expertise & Problem Solving
• Evaluate electrical distribution systems and building system interconnectivity
• Troubleshoot system performance issues in real time
• Review design documentation and submittals

Client & Stakeholder Engagement
• Lead commissioning meetings and communicate findings
• Serve as a trusted partner to clients and contractors

Operational Contributions
• Complete field reports, documentation, and time management
• Support scheduling and revenue targets

Team Development
• Mentor junior engineers and support training initiatives

What You Bring

Core Qualifications
• Electrical Engineering degree or Qualified Electrician background
• 7+ years in electrical systems OR 3+ years commissioning
• Data center or mission-critical experience

Technical Capabilities
• Experience with electrical distribution, HVAC systems, controls, fire alarm, and automation
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications

Professional Skills
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to lead meetings and manage multiple priorities

Physical Requirements
• Ability to work in field environments, climb ladders, and lift ~30 lbs

Preferred
• EIT, CEM, LEED, OSHA 30, BIM experience

Travel Requirements

Regular travel to project sites with potential for broader U.S. travel. Must be able to work on-site as required.

Why FST

At FST, you are part of a team that values execution, accountability, and expertise. Strong performers are recognized, and engineers have opportunities to grow into leadership roles.
Salary Range: $130,000 to $170,000
