Reports to: Project Manager, Electrical Division Operations Team
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our Electrical Division. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and an effective communicator with knowledge of electrical systems, fixture installations, terminations, and mission-critical power distribution in industrial and manufacturing settings. You will play a critical role in ensuring that all operational activities for electrical projects are properly prepared, planned, scheduled, and communicated both internally and externally.

Responsibilities:
  • Project Setup & Administration:
    Lead the initial setup of new electrical projects in management software (Microsoft Teams, Procore, Projectsight). Administer all project documentation, correspondence, and functions including electrical permitting, bonding, and Requests for Information (RFIs) to ensure proper project launch and organization for electrical installation projects.
  • Document & Quality Control:
    Maintain and organize all project documentation, including contracts, electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and equipment submittals. Ensure project compliance with NEC, NFPA, and other applicable electrical codes and standards by coordinating testing, terminations, and quality verification processes.
  • Procurement & Materials Management:
    Perform material take-offs from electrical drawings and specifications to prepare accurate purchase requisitions. Procure electrical components including conduit, wiring, fixtures, and breakers while monitoring delivery status and managing inventory levels to support project schedule requirements.
  • Scheduling & Planning Support:
    Assist in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules for electrical installation phases, testing, and commissioning. Coordinate schedule updates with electricians, general contractors, and facility managers while supporting daily planning efforts to ensure timely project progression.
  • Field Coordination & Site Support:
    Coordinate field activities including layout verification, conduit and cable routing, and terminations. Travel to job sites to conduct audits and participate in safety and quality meetings while providing direct operational support to ensure project alignment with design specifications.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Coordination:
    Facilitate clear communication between Project Manager, Lead Electricians, Superintendents, and clients. Serve as secondary point of contact for electrical vendors and subcontractors while working cross-functionally to resolve issues and maintain project profitability.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Knowledge of electrical safety processes and procedures; OSHA 10 certification required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with project management software
  • Ensures accuracy in project tracking, reporting, and documentation
  • Identifies and addresses challenges related to electrical installations and system integration
  • Works effectively with electricians, engineers, and facility managers
  • Associate's degree or certification in Electrical Technology, Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in electrical construction, manufacturing facility upgrades, or mission-critical power systems
  • Familiarity with NEC codes, NFPA 70E, and industrial electrical standards
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in electrical coordination or support role preferred
