Job description

  • Work in the New Product Introduction (NPI) engineering team which drives Advantest towards operational excellence in an outsourced manufacturing environment
  • Bring new electrical printed circuit boards of the V93000 IC tester into production on time
  • Actively drive supply chain requirements into hardware to achieve efficient and predictable manufacturability by utilizing the capabilities of our external partners
  • Qualify changes both in NPI phase and volume production phase incl. managing the roll out to the whole supply chain
  • Manage quality, product changes and technical supply chain processes of products to constantly fulfill customer and business requirements
  • Provide special technical advice to peers and management
  • Aspects to consider are manufacturing process optimization, cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives to drive quality, cost, and supply metrics towards defined goals
  • Work closely with our contract manufacturers, our Development, Supply Chain and Product marketing teams in a very international environment
  • Bachelor/Master degree in electronic engineering or equivalent
  • Knowledge of development of printed circuit assemblies
  • Broad experience in end-to-end manufacturing processes of high level electronic assemblies
  • Flexible and innovative mindset with analytical problem solving skills,
  • Strong ownership in failure identification (data analysis to identify HW errors, electronic measurements, debugging electronic assemblies)
  • Pro-active mindset with a focused ambition to solve problems
  • Ability to define schedules and keep timelines
  • Good Communication skills and team player in cross-functional and cross-company environment both in English and German
  • Willing to travel 10-20% of time
