Job Brief:

The Electrical Apprentice field technician will work with and learn from Journeyman Electricians and other apprentices.  The Apprentice will be shown practical skills and learn to test, calibrate, install, repair, and inspect manufacturing equipment and monitoring devices.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Reads and interprets electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications.
  • Pulls wire through conduits, holes, and splice, join, and connect wire to form circuits.
  • Assists with installing, replacing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems/equipment.
  • Tests circuits to ensure integrity and safety.
  • Participates/complies with company safety programs & company policies.
  • Provides on-call support as required.
  • Other duties as required.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Registered Apprentice, preferred.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol test (required for safety-sensitive roles).
  • Verification of a clean driving record, as defined by Control Tech’s standards 
  • Standard First Aid/CPR with AED; H2S Alive, CSO, CSTS, Fall Protection and AWP.
  • Experience in oil and gas industry is an asset.
