This position will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, reconditioning, overhaul, and maintenance of company heavy equipment and/or components.
Primary Duties
  • Perform on highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and
    the plant facility's equipment
  • Perform on emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during
    production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment
    during machine service
  • Perform mechanics duties and responsibilities
  • Perform electrician duties and responsibilities
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic and
    hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
  • Perform electrical skills including, but not limited to, basic electrical troubleshooting,
    uploading PLC programs, saving PLC programs, changing PLC programs as needed,
    programming VFD's, programming drives, running conduit and power to new
    equipment, replacing electrical hardware
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required
    maintenance and service
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and PLC programs
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems, replace or repair parts, test and make
    adjustments
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant
    facilities
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry function
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.

  • May be assigned to other projects and duties.
  • Candidate MUST meet the following minimum requirements:
    • Must have high school diploma or GED.
    • Able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English.
    • Provide own tools necessary to perform maintenance tasks.
    • Highly motivated and able to work independently.
    • 1 - 3 years' work experience in an industrial maintenance environment
    • Completion of an education program in electrical or industrial electrical or industrial training or completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship Program and three out of the last five years' experience as an electrical technician in an industrial maintenance field
    • Must be able to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams
    • Good with working in a team setting alongside multiple other crafts
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain all certifications as required by Company, and Law
    • Ability to read and interpret safety documents, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, electrical drawings, and electrical circuits

    Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:
    • Prior work experience in the corrugated box industry.
    • Skills in pneumatics, electrical, PLC and hydraulics
    • To successfully perform the essential functions of this role it requires the ability to: stand occasionally, walk frequently, frequent use of hands (reach with hands and arms), view computer monitor, use telephone, speak and listen frequently.
