Electrical Maintenance Technician
Pay Rate: $27- $31/hr DOE
Location:  Humble, TX 77396
No. of Positions Available:  5
Shifts Available: 2  
Day Shift: 6am to 6pm
Night Shift 6pm to 6am

12 hour shift , Dupont Schedule
Overview
Carry out the scheduled activities of the preventive and corrective electrical maintenance plan to ensure plant equipment efficiency in order to meet the production plan.  The diversity of equipment requires broad knowledge to carry out preventative and corrective electrical maintenance work orders .
Job Duties

  • Execute preventive electrical maintenance work orders to prevent unexpected equipment failures.
  • Execute improvement and safety work orders on assigned equipment to prevent accidents involving Company personnel during equipment operation.
  • Repair failures in critical equipment to minimize downtime of critical systems.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and monitor the performance of power generators to prevent damage to critical equipment due to power outages.
  •  Know, understand, and comply with the regulations of the Integrated Management System applicable to the areas where you work, including work instructions and procedures related to quality, environment, safety, occupational health, and BASC security.
  •  If you observe any worker, whether within or outside your area, not complying with the regulations of the Integrated Management System, you must first request compliance. If the worker does not accept your suggestion, report the situation to your management.
  • Before performing any task, you must identify hazards and assess risks. If you detect that your physical integrity, health, or life is at risk, do not proceed with the task and immediately inform your direct supervisor, so that the necessary additional safety measures can be taken to control the hazard or risk.
  • Carry out or participate in projects, responsibilities, functions, representations, and tasks assigned by your immediate supervisor, provided they are within your capabilities.
  • Recommend equipment lockout due to electrical failures
  • Propose electrical spare parts to ensure proper equipment operation

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in electrical maintenance.
  • Experience in metallurgical industrial plants or similar industrial/manufacturing plant environments is a plus.
  • 2+ years experience as electrical maintenance technician in industrial or manufacturing plant
  • Knowledge in bearing maintenance is preferred
  • Technical education in Industrial Electrical Maintenance or related field is preferred
