Requirement/Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Expertise in power conversion, motor drive circuits, control hardware, and associated electrical subsystems.
  • Experience with schematic capture and hardware layout guidance.
  • Ability to perform detailed electrical analysis, component selection, and trade studies.
  • Knowledge of power stage design, magnetics, switching behavior, and thermal considerations.
  • Familiarity with component derating, reliability, and fault protection.
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-1399, and MIL-STD-461 is preferred.
  • Experience in analog and digital design, control systems, embedded interfaces, and CCA design.
  • Experience with high voltage and electrical design testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, develop, modify, evaluate, and integrate power electronics and motor control hardware for complex, high-performance systems.
  • Determine design approaches, key parameters, and hardware architectures based on system requirements and performance objectives.
  • Perform preliminary design activities and detailed electrical analysis to ensure technical feasibility.
  • Develop and maintain schematic capture and generate required engineering documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Conduct analyses on power stage design, magnetics, switching behavior, thermal considerations, and EMI/EMC performance.
  • Plan and execute laboratory testing, troubleshoot hardware issues, and analyze results.
  • Document findings through test reports, technical reports, and design review materials.
  • Lead or support technical reviews for design, test, and verification activities.
  • Collaborate with systems, mechanical, software, firmware, manufacturing, and test engineering teams.
  • Execute assigned efforts to schedule and budget while tracking technical progress and identifying risks.
  • Assess supplier and vendor capability to support development and production objectives.
