We fabricate custom designed, purpose-built enclosures and skids for our customers and perform mechanical and electrical integration in-house, delivering a true turn-key product to our customers. Our scope spans Engineering, prototype builds, through full production, requiring teams that can move fast, adapt, and execute with precision.

Position Overview

GTI is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design and technical execution of modular infrastructure projects. This role owns electrical system architecture from concept through production while providing technical leadership across engineering, manufacturing, testing, and product development.  May require up to 10% travel

Key Responsibilities

Electrical System Design

  • Lead the design of electrical systems supporting modular infrastructure and industrial power systems
  • Develop electrical architectures, single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and cable schedules
  • Integrate generators, switchgear, transformers, batteries, UPS systems, PLCs, instrumentation, protection devices, and monitoring systems
  • Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, controls, and project teams

Engineering Analysis & Documentation

  • Perform and review electrical calculations supporting power distribution, equipment sizing, protection, grounding, and system performance
  • Develop production-ready electrical documentation supporting manufacturing, testing, and integration
  • Support compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, UL requirements, and customer specifications
  • Lead engineering design reviews and provide technical guidance to engineers and designers

Technical Leadership & Manufacturing Support

  • Support prototype builds, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for electrical system issues
  • Work with manufacturing teams to improve product quality and manufacturability
  • Drive engineering standards, documentation quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

  • 8+ years of electrical engineering experience

  • Experience designing industrial electrical systems or power infrastructure

  • Experience developing electrical schematics and production documentation

  • Experience performing electrical calculations supporting industrial power systems

  • Experience leading technical engineering activities across cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Generator Systems, Modular Data Centers, industrial skids, or similar infrastructure

  • Experience with switchgear, generators, UPS systems, transformers, protection systems, PLCs, or industrial controls

  • Familiarity with NEC, UL, IEEE, NFPA, or related industry standards

  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
