Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrical Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and light industrial settings. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service, diagnose electrical issues efficiently, and ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable electrical codes and company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electrical problems in residential and commercial buildings.
  • Install, maintain, and service electrical systems, equipment, and components.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Install and troubleshoot lighting, panels, circuits, switches, receptacles, and control systems.
  • Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and instruments.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding service requirements and recommendations.
  • Complete service reports, work orders, and documentation accurately.
  • Maintain service vehicles, tools, and equipment in good condition.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency service requests when required.

Required

  • Journeyperson Electrician certification.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of electrical service experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and safety standards.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces when necessary.
  • Own tools and PPE equipment.

Preferred

  • Experience with residential and commercial service work.
  • Experience with generators, EV chargers, fire alarm systems, and lighting controls.
  • First Aid, Fall Protection, Elevated Work Platform, and WHMIS certifications.
  • Experience using mobile service software and digital work orders.
  • CSTS 2020 certification
