[Hybrid] Electrical Engineer - Industrial Machinery
Location: Mt. Carmel, IL - Onsite presence is required for the first 60-90 days to ensure a strong ramp-up. After that, the role transitions to a hybrid schedule with occasional time in the office.
Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 + Benefits

[Hybrid] Electrical Engineer Description
Our client in the machinery manufacturing industry is looking for an Electrical Engineer to add to their team in Mt. Carmel, IL. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will support engineering, production, and field service operations through the design, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electrical systems for custom industrial machinery. You will be responsible for supporting the electrical design across multiple active projects. Daily responsibilities include creating electrical schematics, developing panel layouts, troubleshooting equipment on the shop floor, and supporting machine builds from concept through commissioning.
The ideal candidate will have experience within capital equipment, industrial machinery, automation, heavy manufacturing, or similar environments, along with proficiency in AutoCAD. To thrive in this role, you should be detail-oriented, technically driven, and highly self-motivated. This is a great opportunity to be part of a growth-focused company where you can have direct involvement in machine design, troubleshooting, commissioning, and product improvement initiatives.
[Hybrid] Electrical Engineer Responsibilities
• Create 2D electrical drawings and schematics of industrial machinery
• Develop electrical panel layouts and release engineering bills of material

• Collaborate with Mechanical and Controls Engineers on design and integration
• Support customers, service, production, and sales teams with technical guidance
• Implement product improvements to enhance safety, improve performance, and reduce costs
• Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting as needed
• Provide day-to-day engineering support to the shop floor during active machine builds
[Hybrid] Electrical Engineer Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience required
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience within capital equipment, industrial machinery, automation, or manufacturing environments required
• Experience creating electrical schematics in AutoCAD required
• General knowledge of electrical controls and their function within industrial machinery required
• Ability to read ladder logic required
