OVERVIEW
The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering in the College of Engineering at the University of Saint Thomas, Saint Paul, MN is seeking applications for a tenure track assistant professor position to start in Fall 2027. This is an exciting time for growth in the Electrical & Computer Engineering program at St Thomas, as we have recently expanded into the new $110M Schoenecker Center with state-of-the-art engineering labs. The Electrical & Computer Engineering Department offers undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering and a master's degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering. As a student-focused, liberal arts institution with a strong hands-on curriculum, we emphasize undergraduate and graduate education that provides technical excellence with a significant focus on real world applications. Successful candidates will be expected to teach foundational undergraduate courses, develop and deliver an engaging set of courses in their area of expertise, as well as establish and maintain an active research program. Applications from candidates with specialization in any area of Electrical & Computer Engineering are welcome. Relevant Industry experience is highly valued.

Salary range for this position is $77,500 - $116,000
The University of Saint Thomas has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the university may pay for position at the time of posting. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.
QUALIFICATIONS
A PhD degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent degree) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field is required, as well as a clearly articulated vision for advancing a research program. For candidates who are nearing the completion of their PhD, a timeline for completion will be discussed during the interview process and agreed upon prior to the extension of an offer.
