We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will engage in the designing, developing, and implementing of cutting-edge electrical systems for state-of-the-art industrial and high-tech manufacturing facilities serving global leaders in technology. As an Electrical Engineer at SSOE, you will have a foundation in electrical engineering, focusing on low to medium voltage environments.   • Generate comprehensive technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models aligned with both industry standards, client requirements, and electrical engineering best practices.
  • Determine conduit and conductor sizing, meticulously accounting for current loads and environmental variables.
  • Assess cable tray fills methodically to guarantee proper cable management, organization, and future scalability.
  • Perform detailed short circuit calculations to accurately determine fault currents, select appropriate protective devices, and ensure system safety.
  • Perform precise voltage drop calculations to ensure electrical system stability and compliance with industry standards.
  • Ensure all electrical designs rigorously comply with and exceed local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations to guarantee safety and quality.
  • Apply established design techniques and exercises discernment in adapting and modifying design concepts as needed. Uphold quality control by adhering to company and team design and CAD standards.
  • Will work with Sr. Engineers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders on specific assigned objectives, complex features, and aid in deriving possible solutions to unusual problems.
  • Foster collaboration, communication, strategy, and support within your team, multidisciplinary groups (Electrical, Structural, Process/Chemical, Architectural, etc.), and inter-company teams to optimize efficiency, quality, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct field verifications and site walks to identify, validate, resolve, and integrate solutions into design packages. Resolve design issues on-site during construction if necessary.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, qualifying candidate for professional engineering licensure in Arizona.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who hold a Professional Engineering (PE) license. This credential may qualify candidates for the higher end of the salary range, depending on experience and overall qualifications.
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT) exam, with a focus on electrical engineering principles, is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design drafting is required. Experience with other tools such as Revit, ETAP, SKM Power Tools, and/or EasyPower is a plus.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., National Electric Code, NFPA, etc.).
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical information and design concepts to project managers, contractors, and cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Salary Range: $90,000 - $135,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position. Opportunity for ample rewards and leadership incentive/bonus program
