This role is focused on SCADA system development and industrial automation engineering, not maintenance, troubleshooting-only, or PLC support work.

Candidates must have hands-on experience building or significantly developing SCADA systems (Ignition or similar) in a manufacturing environment.

If you have only used SCADA dashboards or primarily perform electrical maintenance/repair, this role is not a fit.

Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to support and expand a manufacturing facility’s SCADA, controls, and industrial data systems. This role is centered on building SCADA applications, integrating PLC data, and developing real-time manufacturing visibility through SQL-based systems and automation infrastructure. You will work directly with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve uptime, system performance, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and expand SCADA systems (Ignition or similar)
  • Build HMI applications and plant-wide visualization systems
  • Integrate PLC data with SQL databases and reporting tools
  • Develop real-time dashboards and production monitoring systems
  • Support and improve industrial automation and control systems
  • Work with robotics, VFDs, servo drives, and vision systems
  • Improve electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems
  • Troubleshoot complex automation and controls issues on the plant floor
  • Partner with operations to improve uptime, efficiency, and reliability
Required Experience
  • 3+ years in manufacturing automation/controls engineering
  • Proven experience developing SCADA systems (not just using or supporting them)
  • Strong PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
  • Experience integrating PLC data with SQL or industrial databases
  • Hands-on troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong electrical controls background
  • Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent hands-on experience
Benefits
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • PTO + paid holidays
  • Relocation assistance available
  • Long-term growth in advanced automation systems
Why This Role
This is a systems-building engineering role, where you will directly develop and expand SCADA and automation infrastructure that drives manufacturing performance, visibility, and reliability.

If you enjoy building systems, integrating data, and improving real-world production environments, this is a high-impact opportunity.
