Job description

Overview
Continental Electronics Corporation is a leading provider of RF technologies and innovative solutions with over 75 years of proven performance. CEC has experienced significant recent growth and has established itself as the go-to supplier for a diversified product line supporting a wide spectrum of markets from commercial products, military customers, to space research laboratories.
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design of new electronic products up to full production and technical support of electronic products currently in production. This individual will assist with specification reviews, development of program timelines and reports, design reviews, create mechanical designs, pre-production builds, testing, documentation packages and transfers to production.
Responsibilities
  • Participates in the overall detailed product design of the assigned device, component or system
  • Recognizes design problems and errors and takes corrective action
  • Coordinates with Manufacturing during pilot run and first production runs to ensure an efficient transition from Engineering into Production
  • Creates and modifies Schematics in AutoCAD
  • Creates and modifies Part lists and Wire lists
  • Interfaces effectively with other organizations such as Manufacturing, Purchasing, Marketing, and Quality Assurance as needed to carry out responsibilities
  • Prepares technical summaries reporting design performance
  • Monitors the progress of assigned devices, components or systems to ensure that technical problems are solved
  • Coordinates and performs field management assessments
  • Writes manufacture and test procedures and reports
  • Participates in project teams and all activities related to the development of new products
  • Provides technical support to sales and marketing for bids and proposals

Qualifications
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Physics
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronic design with electronic circuit technology assembly processes (analog, digital, RF and/or high voltage design) or an equivalent combination of relevant technical education and experience
  • Experience in design, repair and analysis of electronic systems
  • Knowledge of CAD software (Inventor and AutoCAD preferred)
  • Competent in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Ability to obtain DoD issued Secret clearance

Desired Qualifications
  • RF experience, High Power RF experience a plus
  • High Voltage experience
  • Engineering circuit simulation/analysis program exposure
  • Occasional travel is anticipated
  • Active DoD issued Secret clearance

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Pay may range from 104,000 to 122,00 annually
The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations.
Base salary is one component of your total rewards package. You may be eligible for long-term incentives, potential discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discounted rate through the Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP). OSI also offers comprehensive benefits including various options for health plans, access to 401(k) retirement plan, health savings account, disability insurance, life insurance, AD&D insurance, leave of absence programs and an array of voluntary benefits. In addition, paid time off is offered to be used for vacation, holidays, bereavement, and jury duty. Full-Time salaried employees are entitled to flexible time-off.
