Job description

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Plano or DFW area. This opportunity is a great fit for someone who likes to work hands-on with projects from beginning to end, enjoys working with and being supported by a team of Electrical professionals, and is comfortable mentoring early-in-career Electrical Engineers and staff.

With Water and Wastewater projects comprising a significant portion of our project work, we need someone who is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) with a minimum of 10 years of experience in planning and designing electrical systems including at least 5 years of experience is required with electrical systems for municipal water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, lift stations, and pipeline distribution and collection systems.

Responsibilities

The Sr. Electrical Engineer provides electrical engineering design and leadership to guide the engineering deliverables and electrical project management for a variety of Electrical project types including planning and designing electrical systems for:

    • municipal water and wastewater treatment plants and facilities
    • storm drainage systems
    • lighting
    • transportation
    • other public and private client project
  • independently determines and develops the approach to electrical design projects; generates a range of solutions to difficult technical problems
  • ensures engineering deliverables meet Quiddity's quality standards and client requirements
  • leads technical meetings and directs interdisciplinary coordination
  • maintains regular communication with project engineers/managers and provides support for client and stakeholder communications
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Licensed Electrical or Control Systems Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Texas with or the ability to obtain or transfer within 6 months of hire date.
  • Min. 10 years of experience in the electrical engineering field - including 5 years working with municipal water and wastewater systems.
  • Valid TX driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Will not require sponsorship now or in the future for employment Visa status.
  • Experience with power distribution is a bonus
