Job description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer/Project Manager to join our Group Technology team! This position requires travel of 60%, both internationally and nationally, and the ability to relocate for extended time periods to project sites.

Your Future Team

As anElectricalEngineeryou will support the installation and commissioning of current and future industrial projects. You will work closely with vendors, contractors, and ROCKWOOL employees from all over the world. This unique opportunity will allow you to gain vital insight on factory operations, to see what works and what doesn't, and find a way to continually improve our process as we grow and expand as a company.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Supervise external electrical installation and commissioning teams during project execution
  • Follow the progress of assigned commissions from start to finish, offering support and ensuring safety and quality standards are met and enforced
  • Coordinate daily activities with supplier supervisors, site management, and other ROCKWOOL team members to ensure alignment on installation, testing, and project execution
  • Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to ensure ROCKWOOL employees and any 3rd party individuals are adhering to the budget and parameters laid out during planning stages and report progress daily
  • Assist team members with smaller projects in-between assignments by answering questions, providing feedback, reviewing documentation and all other duties assigned

What You Bring

  • 5+years of practical, hands-on experience as an Electrical Engineer required - preference for candidates with industrial background
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field required - may be substituted with additional experience beyond requirements
  • Good understanding of low-voltage electrical installations, cable installations, electrical panels, junction boxes, field devices, motors, drives, and control systems.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, layout drawings, cable lists, I/O lists, panel drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Basic understanding of PLCs with experience using Siemens TIA Portal preferred
  • Familiarity with installation testing, signal testing, loop checks, functional testing, and commissioning support.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster collaborative partnerships with third-party vendors while exercising appropriate authority to ensure contractual obligations, deadlines, and performance standards are met.
  • Knowledge of commercial and industrial safety standards and working within an approved budget
  • Ability to clearly communicate with stakeholders both verbally and through written communication
  • The ability to travel 60% and to relocate for extended periods of time for projects.

The base salary range for this position is $120,000.00 - 135,000.00. Your base salary is determined based on location, experience and the pay of employees in similar positions.
