Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.; overtime as necessary. Positions Supervised: None
POSITION SUMMARY: This role centers around the development and implementation of electrical systems for a variety of industrial applications, with a primary focus on power generation packages and supporting auxiliary systems. The Electrical Engineer will be integral to the entire lifecycle of electrical control systems, from initial conceptual design and supporting documentation (including electrical schematics, P&ID's, software code, and functional specifications) to the final commissioning and handover of fully operational systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "May.")
โ€ข A key stakeholder in the design, development, and implementation of electrical & control systems for various industrial system applications. Including but not limited to software/hardware design, instrumentation design, DC distribution design and low/medium voltage AC distribution design.
โ€ข Engineering liaison for new build manufacturing of mobile power generation packages driven by gas turbines, reciprocating engines, and battery systems.
โ€ข Assist other departments with commissioning newly manufactured packages ensuring the electrical and control systems operates as per the functional specification.
โ€ข Develop process specifications that formalize standardized tasks to strengthen quality control practices.
โ€ข Create component specifications to assist the requisition of parts for new build manufacturing.
โ€ข Establish documentation that outlines operational criteria for Factory Acceptance Testing.
โ€ข Review electrical system developments to ensure designs meet industry standard and legislation.
โ€ข Assist other departments with the installation, commissioning and maintenance of mobile power generation packages, battery storage packages and their respective auxiliary systems.
โ€ข Perform redline/markup drawing reviews for electrical and controls that feed the documentation control process, become the approval authority for final drawing release.
โ€ข Contribute to the development of new products and advancement of existing products.
โ€ข Manage the development of electrical and control system operation and maintenance manuals.
โ€ข Engineering liaison for procurement and supply chain for new and existing product lines.
โ€ข Evaluate new product/service offerings from suppliers to build technical proposals.
โ€ข Provide onsite and remote troubleshooting support on deployed assets.
โ€ข Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
โ€ข Successfully passes background check, pre-employment drug screening, an any pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
โ€ข Daily in-person, predictable attendance.
โ€ข Possesses a valid U.S. driver's license.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
โ€ข 5-7 years of previous LV/MV design required.
โ€ข Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited institution of higher education required.
โ€ข Specific knowledge of power generation packages, preferably specializing in electrical and/or instrumentation and control.
โ€ข Specialized knowledge of gas turbine and reciprocation engine control systems preferred (Woodward, Allen Bradley, Siemens).
โ€ข Able to read electrical/controls drawings.

The Electrical Engineer is often required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach and squat/kneel. Their work environment is dynamic and diverse, often characterized by a combination of office-based tasks, field activities, and interactions with both internal colleagues, executive management, and clients.
When working indoors, they are often subjected to prolonged periods of sitting at a at a desk station, keyboarding and using repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and or fingers. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus while reading and staring at computer monitor. They will also need to speak clearly and audibly, as well as have the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and /or other sounds (e.g., building alarms) deriving from in person speech, telephone, or other remote speech. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities. When required to visit a wellsite, work environment includes exposure to hazardous materials, operating conditions, audio up to 85 dB and inclement weather. Given these conditions employees are required to wear company mandated and issued personal protective equipment (PPE) (fire retardant coveralls, safety hat, steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection and safety gloves) and must strictly adhere to all safety policies. Electrical Engineer may be required to lift heavy objects; therefore, the Electrical Engineer must be able to lift 20lbs. independently.
