Job Description

As an Account Development Manager- Mining, you will acquire new customers and drive revenue growth by identifying and developing business opportunities across the mining, metals, minerals, and aggregates industries. Target prospects will include major mining companies, mid-tier producers, EPCs, engineering firms, processing operations, and associated service providers. You will develop and implement account acquisition strategies to build relationships with key decision-makers and influencers responsible for operations, digital transformation, automation, electrification, sustainability, and capital projects. You will leverage your knowledge of industrial automation, digital transformation, software, and services to provide multi-faceted solutions that improve productivity, safety, sustainability, and operational performance. You will report to the Americas Sales Manager - Mining, Metals & Cement.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will establish clear objectives for each sales call or meeting. You will tailor standard materials to make presentations to decision makers and influencers within the customer organization. You will ask relevant questions to gather information, to evaluate the customer's level of interest, and to respond to areas requiring further information or explanation.

  • You will configure a product and services solution and associated contractual terms that meet the prospect's needs, taking input from relevant internal specialists. Present the solution to prospect representatives and negotiate agreement within a pre-defined range of commercial parameters.

  • You will collaborate internally and work as the prospect champion in cross-functional teams to build external customer relationships.

  • You will develop a personal network within the business sector and represent the organization at business sector events. Obtain market intelligence and enhance the visibility and reputation of the organization, its products, and its services.

  • You will maintain and renew a deep knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, and ensure own work adheres to required standards.

  • You will participate in assessment and development planning activities and formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visa, now or in the future, for this job opening.

  • A valid driver's license.

  • The ability to travel up to 40% of the time to customers.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Operations Management.

  • Typically requires 5+ years of experience working with Industrial IoT (IIoT), automation, digital transformation, software, analytics, and annual recurring revenue/subscription business models.

  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies, Industrial IoT, digital twins, AI/analytics, and connected enterprise solutions.

  • Experience selling to senior management and executive leadership, focusing on operational outcomes, productivity improvements, sustainability objectives, and measurable economic value.

  • Experience working with all levels of a mining enterprise including executive leadership, corporate operations, mine management, processing plant leadership, maintenance, engineering, reliability, and technical services teams.

  • Experience selling into mining, metals, minerals processing, aggregates, or related heavy industrial markets.

  • Knowledge of mining operations including open-pit and underground mining, crushing and conveying, grinding, flotation, hydrometallurgy, tailings management, material handling, process control, and mine-to-mill optimization.

  • Experience influencing capital projects and brownfield modernization initiatives involving automation, electrical infrastructure, process control, information software, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.

  • Familiarity with sustainability, energy management, water stewardship, workforce safety, and ESG initiatives within the mining industry.

  • Experience collaborating with EPC firms, technology partners, OEMs, and system integrators supporting mining operations.

For this role, the Total Target Compensation is from $134,960.00 - $202,440.00 of which 80% is base salary and 20% is variable. Our benefits for the US can be found here. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
