R&D Electrical Engineer - Medical Device - Indianola, PA R&D Electrical Engineer - Medical Device - Indianola, PA PURPOSE R&D Electrical Engineer - Medical Device is Responsible for the design, planning, execution, documentation, commissioning, and handover of specific technical work packages, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This role involves detailed engineering for a specific discipline, including the design, calculation, and specification of related engineering documents, as well as field engineering.

This position is responsible for supporting multiple portions of complex projects. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a supporting role in designing and integrating medium-complexity electronic design elements while ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will also co-lead design reviews and manage technical aspects of projects.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The primary responsibilities of this role, Electrical Engineer - Medical Device, are to: Defines requirements for simple designs and material selection; Responsible for one design element at a time within a single discipline; Achieve understanding of the product and clinical applications; Understand direct interfaces (inputs/outputs) within the relevant processes; Leads design reviews of simple designs; Participates in other design reviews as a supplementary reviewer; Write verification protocols for simple designs, manages or performs the execution of the protocols, analyzes results, and writes reports; Manages own work activities to given objectives with supervision; Able to lead small teams to lower complexity project activities; Comfortable with technical information to perform job; Interacts with suppliers and partners; Effectively convey problems, opportunities, and results. WHO YOU ARE Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering; Basic knowledge of other technical disciplines (i.e. software); Introductory experience in using worst-case analysis to ensure designs meet performance and manufacturability requirements; Proven ability to manage the technical aspects of simple design projects; Excellent oral, written, and listening skills; High-performance orientation, project achievement, and strong attention to detail; Proficiency with schematic entry tools (preferably OrCAD) and mathematical analysis tools (preferably Mathcad); Working knowledge of PC operating systems, including Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 2-3 years of relevant experience demonstrating an evolution of engineering knowledge, including real-world understanding across the breadth of the discipline; Knowledge of standards and equipment for Electrical Safety and EMC testing (e.g., IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-2, or similar); Experience obtaining Safety and EMC compliance certification; Demonstrated ability to build and leverage partnerships, implement change, and work in cross-functional teams; Proven sound judgment, continuous innovation, and adaptability skills; Experience with circuit analysis tools and a blend of theoretical and experimental concepts for solutions. Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $77,760.00 to $116,640.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.

This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
