Location: Princeton, NJ
Duration: 12-Month Contract

 

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support critical facility and infrastructure projects within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role will focus on maintaining and improving electrical systems that support 24/7 operations, ensuring reliability, compliance, and uninterrupted production.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with power distribution systems, electrical infrastructure, UPS and battery backup systems, and facility upgrades within regulated pharmaceutical or life sciences environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design, maintenance, and optimization of electrical systems within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
  • Provide technical expertise for power distribution networks, electrical panels, switchgear, and critical infrastructure systems.
  • Support facility upgrades, expansions, and modernization projects while maintaining uninterrupted operations.
  • Evaluate and troubleshoot electrical system performance, reliability, and power continuity issues.
  • Manage and support UPS systems, battery backup systems, and emergency power solutions.
  • Collaborate with Facilities, Engineering, Maintenance, Validation, and Quality teams on project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in risk assessments, system upgrades, and reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Support preventative maintenance programs and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Assist with contractor and vendor management during project execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or highly regulated manufacturing facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Power Distribution Systems
    • Electrical Panels and Switchgear
    • UPS Systems
    • Battery Backup Systems
    • Electrical Infrastructure
    • Critical Facility Operations
  • Experience supporting facility upgrades while maintaining operational continuity.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
