Job description

SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental (SSE) is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Northwest (NAVFAC Northwest), Planning Design and Construction Directorate, Design Division (PDC4) in Silverdale, WA.

The Electrical Engineer will provide facilities electrical design and technical support for Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build projects.

What You’ll Do:
  • Perform electrical engineering design and calculations for facility electrical systems.
  • Design electrical services, transformers, secondary power distribution systems, overcurrent protection, branch circuits, feeders, and related systems.
  • Perform lighting calculations, develop lighting layouts, and specify lighting fixtures.
  • Develop and review drawings using AutoCAD and edit project specifications.
  • Review designs, technical reports, RFIs, submittals, and other project deliverables.
  • Coordinate with NAVFAC personnel and multidisciplinary design teams.
What You Bring: Required:
  • Minimum of six (6) years of Design Management and/or Design experience performing applicable electrical engineering tasks.
  • Demonstrated experience with facilities electrical engineering design and calculations.
  • Experience with electrical distribution and lighting system design.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and engineering specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to successfully complete required background and security screening.
  • Four-year degree from an accredited Engineering college curriculum required.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of applicable Design Management and/or Design experience required.
Preferred:
  • U.S. Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Electrical Engineering is highly desirable.
