Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (such as Rolling Stock Engineering, Project Management, and Supply Chain), coordinate with vendors to confirm compliance, and develop technical documentation, and much more.
You'll specifically take care of reverse engineering and developing obsolescence solutions, but also create new design drawings and assembly/repair instructions.
We'll look to you for:
  • Developing obsolescence solutions, including reverse engineering, repair, new design, supplier partnerships, and circular economy initiatives.
  • Ensuring all parts proposals meet customer specifications in terms of form, fit, function, reliability, and adherence to industrial standards.
  • Creating electrical and interface schematics, drawings, and documentation while meeting deliverable schedules.
  • Preparing procurement specifications and technical requirements derived from customer specifications.
  • Collaborating with vendors to confirm compliance with customer requirements.
  • Providing drawings, bills of materials, work scopes, and testing protocols for parts and equipment.
  • Delivering technical support to customers and participating in change management processes.
  • Maintaining knowledge of electrical and electronic norms and standards relevant to automated people movers, such as IEEE and ANSI.

All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That's why we don't expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we've listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in the rail or transportation industry, particularly with automated people movers, high/low voltage equipment, or discrete electronic components.

  • Experience preparing procurement specifications and technical requirements.
  • Proficiency in design tools, MS Office, PDM, SAP, and other ERP tools.
  • Knowledge of safety management systems and safety risk assessment (preferred).
  • Project management experience (preferred).

Things you'll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey - the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You'll also:
  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines.
  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling.
  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues.
  • Contribute to innovative projects.
  • Utilise our agile and collaborative working environment.
  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries.
  • Benefit from our investment in your development through award-winning learning.
  • Progress towards leadership roles or technical specialisation.
  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension).
