Opportunity Summary

One of our partner companies is a venture-backed startup developing novel approaches to high-speed launch and advanced propulsion systems. The team is focused on building scalable, hardware-driven solutions to enable more efficient access to space and next-generation aerospace capabilities. This role is a hands-on Electrical Engineer position working across core subsystems that power a high-energy launch platform. You will contribute to the design, build, and testing of electronics spanning embedded systems, high-voltage hardware, and data acquisition. The work is highly collaborative and directly tied to real-world system performance, with clear opportunities to grow into broader technical ownership over time.

About Us

We are an early-stage, venture-backed aerospace company focused on developing breakthrough hardware systems for launch and hypersonic applications. The team brings together engineers across electrical, mechanical, fluids, and aerospace disciplines to solve complex, multidisciplinary challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties

  • Support design and development of electrical systems across a high-energy accelerator platform
  • Create schematics, perform PCB layout, and select components for critical subsystems
  • Assist with hardware assembly, integration, and validation in both lab and field environments
  • Contribute to embedded firmware development and debugging within data acquisition and control systems
  • Troubleshoot electrical and firmware issues across integrated systems
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for hardware and embedded systems
  • Work cross-functionally with mechanical, fluids, and software teams to ensure system integration
  • Support system-level testing to validate performance, reliability, and safety requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 2+ years of relevant industry, academic, or research experience
  • Experience with PCB design and circuit development tools
  • Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontrollers
  • Comfortable using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced engineering environment
  • Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with embedded platforms such as ARM, STM32, or similar
  • Exposure to high-voltage systems or power electronics
  • Background in analog or mixed-signal circuit design
  • Familiarity with RF systems or signal integrity considerations
  • Understanding of EMC and EMI design practices

Why Join Us

  • Work on complex hardware challenges tied directly to real-world system performance
  • Gain exposure to multidisciplinary engineering across electrical, mechanical, and aerospace systems
  • Opportunity to take on increasing ownership as the company scales
