Job description

A & S ENGINEERS INC. is an established private company offering Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Engineering Design and Commissioning Services with branches in San Francisco, San Diego and Walnut Creek, California. We have an opening for a full time or part time entry level Electrical Engineer Designer to join our Walnut Creek branch location. The candidate should be highly organized and able to self-manage. The candidate needs to have excellent attention to detail, computer skills and be a thoughtful and attentive communicator - both verbally and in writing.


The Candidate should have the ability to work on multiple projects. This role requires working on a wide variety of projects in market sectors such as Commercial, Education, Federal, Health Care, Residential Technology and Transit.


What the Electrical Engineer will do

·      Participate in site visits, project meetings, and field investigations to collect project information.

·      Coordinate with senior engineers and multidisciplinary project teams.

·      Maintain organized project records, tracking logs, and electronic file management.

·      Design electrical power distribution systems.

·      Develop lighting and lighting control system designs.

·      Prepare engineering drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD or Revit.

·      Participate in all phases of projects, from concept and design through construction and project closeout.


Qualifications

·      Eagerness and willingness to learn new skills and technologies.

·      Minimum one year of experience in electrical engineering design.

·      Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel; Revit experience is a plus.

·      Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field.

·      Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent organizational abilities.

·      Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

·      Experience with DSA/HCAI (formerly OSHPD) projects is a plus.

·      LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) certification is a plus.

·      California Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
