JOB SUMMARY

Provide overall management for a single area group. Responsible for the profitability of the group.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Leadership experience in a field environment.
  • Experience in the construction industry.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Advanced understanding of corporate, industry and safety practices, processes, standards and how they affect project activities.
  • Proven ability to manage / mentor staff.
  • Demonstrated abilities in maintaining project profitability.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills essential.
  • Requires strong computer competence.
  • Extensive finance, design, construction and management experience required
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Establish group objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the boundaries of corporate policies. Monitor overall quantity and quality of work performed by the group.
  • Ensure all company policies and procedures, including safety, are followed. Investigate, report, and correct any safety-related incidents.
  • Maintain a positive cash position for the group. Monitor and analyze project budget and cost activities on a regular basis.
  • Authorize and approve expenditures in line with corporate Expenditure Approval and Authority Policy.
  • Directly supervise the work of and provide mentoring to the project management staff.
  • Manage / oversee work activities for all group personnel.
  • Effectively manage business development activities for the group, securing new work on a routine basis.
  • Review / coordinate estimating activities for the group, as needed.
  • Provide technical assistance or interpretation, when required.
  • Manage individual projects, as needed.
  • Prepare complete estimates for selected projects, as needed.
  • Travel, either local or overnight, may be required.
  • Perfoms other tasks and special projects as assigned.

  • Background check, credit check, MVR and drug screen may be required (will vary by position).
  • Requires travel: Moderate (up to 25%) to Extensive (50% and over)
