Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support heavy industrial projects. This role focuses on the design and drafting of electrical power and control systems up to 480V, three-phase. The ideal candidate is a hands-on electrical engineer with strong design expertise-not a software or programming-focused engineer.


Key Responsibilities


*Design electrical power and control systems for heavy industrial applications, including low, medium, and high voltage systems up to 480V, three-phase.

*Prepare detailed electrical drawings and documentation using the latest version of AutoCAD.

*Utilize CADD and SolidWorks for electrical design and drafting.

*Perform on-site investigations and field verification as required (occasional out-of-town travel).

*Ensure all designs comply with applicable National and Local electrical codes.

*Coordinate with project teams to support engineering, construction, and installation activities.





Required Qualifications

*5-10 years of experience in electrical design and drafting for heavy industrial projects.

*Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems (low, medium, and high voltage up to 480V).

*Solid understanding of electrical controls.

*Proficient in AutoCAD

*Working knowledge of National and Local electrical codes.

*Ability to conduct field investigations and site visits as needed.
