Job Description

Purpose: 

Design, analyze, and optimize electrical system designs and project deliverables to ensure construction readiness is aligned with project demands and schedule. Collaborate on and contribute to innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients and industry standards.   

Responsibilities 

  • Work collaboratively on projects while managing project timelines, ensuring completion of projects and deliverables are aligned with schedules and construction needs. 
  • Review designs for constructability and coordinate updates and improvements where needed to ensure the success of construction teams. 
  • Provide direct technical support, from start to finish of projects, on design, procurement and construction for equipment, materials, execution, and maintenance.  
    • Review drawings and project documentation  
    • Review customer specifications 
    • Assist with RFIs and Submittals 
    • Review equipment specifications 
    • Generate material takeoffs 
  • Engage internally and with external customers, engineers, and others to support the design of electrical systems or portions of electrical systems. 
  • As needed, travel to site to support and coordinate with project and construction teams for successful project execution. 
  • Ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, and project documents. 
  • Establish construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications through documentation review and/or creation. 
  • Ensure compliance with specifications, NEC code and customer requirements through direction and coordination of documentation, material, installation, support, and/or testing activities. 
  • Work collaboratively with internal preconstruction, design and operations teams as well as external customers, vendors, subcontractors and engineering partners to support technical aspects of the design and execution of projects. 
  • Foster key strategic relationships with various partners. 
  • Ongoing integration and gain of technical knowledge to further establish self as a reliable source of information to the engineering team. 
  • Interface with regulatory agencies and manufacturers/distributors. 
  • Manage project files, drawings, documents & records across multiple projects at a time. 
  • Identify challenges and work with Quality and SMEs to resolve issues and implement continuous improvement actions. 
Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering or include experience in proper design and constructability.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Must be self-motivated and flexible to accommodate changes in KE business strategies
  • Have entrepreneurial approach to problem solving and be accountable for project decisions and actions.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that represents a history of safe & competent driving.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

 Pay Range: $80,000–$120,000 per year with bonus potential
