Job Overview
The Team Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating the activities of team members engaged in the mechanical assembly and integration of electrical control products within a production environment. This role works hands-on alongside the team while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Team Lead establishes work priorities, provides daily direction, and drives execution of manufacturing goals. This role also supports employee development by providing input on performance, coaching, and training.
A Day In The Life
  • Lead daily production activities within assigned area to meet safety, quality, and delivery objectives
  • Assign work, establish priorities, and ensure efficient utilization of manpower and equipment
  • Work alongside team members to complete mechanical assembly and integration tasks
  • Verify work conforms to engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
  • Ensure adherence to PCX Quality Management System and ISO 9001 standards
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain a safe working environment for personnel and equipment
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve assembly and production issues
  • Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles
  • Assist Supervisor with staffing, scheduling, and resource planning
  • Provide feedback for employee performance reviews and support coaching efforts
  • Maintain accurate records related to training, production, and inventory usage
  • Promote teamwork, collaboration, and positive working relationships across the department

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Physical & Work Requirements
  • Ability to work extended shifts, including up to 10 hours per day and weekends as required
  • Ability to safely perform physical tasks associated with manufacturing and assembly work
  • Must successfully complete all required training (unless otherwise approved)
