What You Will Contribute to OHM Advisors

As a licensed Electrical Engineer, you will collaborate with project teams, clients, and contractors to manage and execute commercial facility designs, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and IT systems. You’ll utilize software tools like AGI, Bluebeam Studio, REVIT, Excel, and SpecLink, ensuring quality assurance throughout all project phases. With expertise in power distribution, including water and wastewater treatment facilities, you’ll drive innovative solutions and ensure compliance with industry codes. Your ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and contribute to team success will be key to delivering high-quality results.

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project team members, clients, contractors, and technical experts on project-related matters.
  • Utilize tools such as Bluebeam Studio, Excel, MasterSpec, and MS Word for effective communication and documentation.
  • Ensure quality assurance throughout all phases of the project.
  • Manage projects from preliminary engineering to final design, construction documents, and field inspection.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • PE license in Michigan.
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical design for commercial buildings, including lighting, power, fire alarm, and IT systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with AGI, EasyPower or SKM preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel for local and regional projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with electrical systems for water/wastewater treatment plants and pump stations.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit.
