Job description

Role: Electrical Apprentice โ€“ Energy Efficiency

Position Overview: We are looking for an electrical apprentice to join our energy efficiency team. Ideal candidates will be reliable, have outstanding customer service and communication skills, as well as have one year of electrical experience.

Key Responsibilities (under the direct training and supervision of a licensed electrician):

  • Troubleshoot, install, replace, and maintain electrical systems and components (wiring, control, and lighting systems) in both single and three phase scenarios including new and old work.
  • Read blueprints and technical diagrams, inspect electrical components i.e., transformers and circuit breakers, identify electrical problems with various testing devices.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, run all types of conduit.
  • Perform all work to latest National Electric Code and OSHA standards.
  • Required Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in carpentry & electrical
  • Understanding of applicable building and safety code requirements
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multitask.
  • Quality minded, ensuring that safety and productivity standards are met.
  • Ability to use common hand tools.
  • Valid Driverโ€™s License with clean driving record.
  • Salary: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
