About the Role
The
Electrical Apprentice assists licensed electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems. This entry-level position provides hands-on training while developing the skills needed to become a licensed electrician. The apprentice is expected to work safely, learn company procedures, and deliver excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical plans under supervision.
- Install conduit, wiring, outlets, switches, lighting, and other electrical components.
- Assist with troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized worksite while following OSHA, NEC, and company safety standards.
- Properly use and maintain company tools, equipment, vehicles, and documentation (e.g., ServiceTitan).
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
- Participate in apprenticeship training and support other home service teams when needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Enrolled in or willing to enter an approved electrical apprenticeship program.
- Previous construction or trade experience preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Apprentice Electrician License (if required by state).
- OSHA 10 Certification preferred.
- Ability to obtain additional certifications as required.
Skills
- Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and installation instructions.
- Basic math and measurement skills for electrical work.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions and apply training in the field.

Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality while adhering to safety standards, delivering high-quality work, completing tasks efficiently, accurately documenting job details, properly caring for tools and company vehicles, providing excellent customer service, demonstrating continuous skill development, and communicating effectively as part of the team.
Physical & Work Environment:
Work in both indoor and outdoor environments under varying weather conditions while lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs., climbing ladders, working in attics and crawlspaces, kneeling, bending, and standing for extended periods, and safely working around energized electrical equipment under the supervision of a licensed electrician.
Work Schedule
- Scheduled during regular company business hours.
- Overtime, evenings, weekends, and on-call work may be required based on business needs.
