ULimo is seeking Powertrain Engineering Interns interested in vehicle propulsion systems, energy efficiency, drivetrain technologies, and next-generation transportation solutions. Interns will contribute research and engineering ideas that support the future of mobility while learning how engineering decisions influence vehicle performance and efficiency.

This internship is ideal for students interested in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, and sustainable transportation technologies.

ULimo is currently in the design phase of one of our most ambitious projects yet: designing what we envision to be the world’s first fully self-driving (FSD) electric luxury party buses and limousines. As an engineering intern, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute ideas, research, engineering concepts, and technical solutions that help shape the future of next-generation luxury transportation. This is a unique opportunity to gain early-stage product development experience while working directly with startup leadership on innovative mobility technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Research traditional and emerging powertrain technologies.
  • Analyze vehicle efficiency, performance, and drivetrain concepts.
  • Assist with engineering research related to electric, hybrid, and alternative propulsion systems.
  • Support technical evaluations of motors, batteries, transmissions, and power delivery systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on future transportation concepts.
  • Research industry trends and technological advancements in vehicle propulsion.
  • Prepare engineering reports and technical documentation.
  • Contribute ideas for improving vehicle efficiency and performance.
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Interest in vehicle propulsion systems and transportation innovation.
  • Familiarity with engineering analysis tools is a plus.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exposure to future transportation technologies.
  • Work directly with startup leadership.
  • Gain valuable engineering research experience.
  • Build a portfolio focused on automotive innovation and vehicle technologies.
