Hourly Wage : $56.04 - $58.99 

Relocation expenses are available up to $12,500 to support qualified candidates in joining our team. 

Any hours worked beyond the standard schedule will be compensated at 1.75 times the regular hourly rate.

What You Will Do:

As a Journeyman Lineman, you are at the forefront of powering our communities and delivering the reliable electric service our Members depend on every day. This position is responsible for the safe construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, and restoration of Trico's electric distribution system, helping ensure the uninterrupted flow of electricity to homes, businesses, schools, and essential services throughout our service territory. More than a skilled trade professional, the Journeyman Lineman serves as a trusted steward of critical infrastructure, responding to outages, supporting system improvements, and protecting the safety and reliability of the electric grid. Working in a team-oriented environment, this role combines technical expertise, sound judgment, and a commitment to safety to make a meaningful impact on the communities we serve.

Key duties and expectations include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Construct, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair overhead and underground electric distribution facilities.
2. Frame and set poles, install underground cable, perform splicing and terminations, and maintain pad-mounted and vault-mounted equipment. 
3. Perform switching and sectionalizing operations following established system procedures. 
4. Patrol power lines, identify system concerns, and maintain accurate records and documentation. 
5. Troubleshoot outages and respond to emergency restoration efforts as needed.
6. Operate and work safely around heavy equipment, bucket trucks, poles, trenches, vaults, and energized facilities.
7. Assist Crew Leaders and Supervisors with job planning and project execution. 
8. Lead crews on a temporary basis when required and support team success across departments.
9. Follow Cooperative construction practices, operating procedures, and safety standards. 
10. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and exceptional Member service.
11. Perform all other duties as assigned 

What You Bring to Trico:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2.  Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program and possession of a Journeyman Lineman certification/card. 
3. Experience performing journeyman-level overhead and underground line work. 
4. Strong knowledge of electric distribution construction, maintenance, and repair practices. 
5. Proficiency with pole climbing, hot sticking, underground cable installations, terminations, and heavy equipment operation. 
6. Valid Arizona CDL and the ability to maintain compliance with FMCSA requirements. 
7. Commitment to safety, teamwork, communication, and operational excellence. 
8. Ability to work independently, respond to emergencies, and work evenings and weekends when needed.
9. Ability to work in outdoor environments and perform the physical demands of the position.
