Voter Registration Data Entry

Job Description

Performs computer data entry of voter registration and absentee ballots, equipment testing, ballot maintenance, and filing. Start Date: October 5, 2026 End Date: Dictated by workload following Election Day Typical hours are 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with possible work on Saturdays

Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Enter data for processing Voter Registration
  • Enter data for processing Absentee Ballot Requests
  • Preparing Ballot Packets for mailing
  • Scanning of Documents
  • Processing In-Person Absentee Voters
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

High School Graduate or equivalent. General computer skills, organizational office skills, and attention to detail. Previous election experience is preferred, but not necessary. E-VERIFY PROCESS: Story County participates in E-Verify and will provide the Social Security Administration (SSA) and, if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), with information from each applicant's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization. All candidates who are offered a position with Story County must complete Section 1 of Form I-9 along with the required proof of their right to work in the United States and proof of their identity. Please be prepared to provide required documents on the first day of employment.
