Job description

Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Contact Center Specialist to serve as a 24/7 entry-level point of contact responsible for handling a wide range of customer service needs. This position supports callers by responding to inquiries, coordinating information, and ensuring a smooth communication flow across departments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to incoming calls and inquiries from both internal and external callers
  • Screen and assess patient needs, applying de-escalation techniques when appropriate and escalating concerns as needed
  • Use sound judgment to determine appropriate next steps and ensure timely resolution or escalation
  • Support call routing, processing, and monitoring functions across multiple departments
  • Accurately enter and maintain patient, provider, and service-related information within electronic systems
  • Handle requests related to transportation, equipment, and other services, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Respond to inquiries received via phone, web, fax, and paging systems using strong customer service skills
  • Utilize various systems and tools (e.g., electronic medical records, databases, and web-based applications) to access and input information
  • Identify and escalate data discrepancies or service issues as appropriate

  • Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).
